Southdown provides support to over 9,500 vulnerable people each year across Sussex to help them live their life to the full.

We do this through a range of tailored community-based services that support people to develop, maintain and improve good health, well-being and independence.

Services we provide include: care and support for people with learning and physical disabilities, mental health recovery services, employment support, community well-being services, housing support services for people at risk of homelessness and supported accommodation.


Southdown’s Work & Wellbeing Service in West Sussex helps people accessing treatment for mental health support, back into employment. You will be working in partnership with the new West Sussex Community Rehabilitation Service (Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) and co-located in Swandean, Worthing and The Bedale centre, Bognor Regis with some remote and community-based working.

This is a new service within West Sussex; therefore, you will be helping to set up the employment service within a team of Mental Health professionals. You will contribute an employment focused perspective to the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) and manage a caseload of clients who will be receiving treatment for various mental health issues.

You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model; providing person centred guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

This role requires you to be a driver with access to a car for work.
