Are you an experienced leader and passionate about employment? BDCFT Employment ‘Making Work, Work’ Service is recruiting an Employment Team Leader to deliver a high-quality employment service for people with serious mental health issues across Bradford.

The service runs a well-established Individual Placement and Support model and is recognised as one of the few Centre’s of Excellence in the north of England.

Role

To lead and manage an Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service consisting of a team of Employment Specialists based in CMHT’s.

To act as a champion to promote mental health employment support within the Trust and to provide a source of expert knowledge and advice about IPS within the Trust and the wider health and care economy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for recruiting, developing and managing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service, comprising a team of Employment Specialists based in CMHT’s within the Trust.
  • Lead the team of Employment Specialists through performance management and supervision processes to ensure their work adheres to IPS evidence-based practice.
  • Planning and organising a broad range of performance management to improve individual practice.
  • Through degree level or equivalent experience, maintaining specialist knowledge of IPS national policy, and interpreting, developing, monitoring, and evaluating specialist IPS service delivery in the Trust.
  • Developing and maintaining project information systems for recording and reporting on performance. Collating, analysing, and interpreting complex KPI data and monitoring team outcomes against set targets.
  • Making judgements and taking appropriate action to improve service performance.

Frequent concentration required for writing reports, checking and analysing staff performance statistics on local spreadsheets with flexibility to deal with unpredictable work pattern and interruptions regarding staffing and service issues.

The person

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.
  • Specialist knowledge across a range of procedures, underpinned by theory.
  • Knowledge of specific area, acquired through degree or equivalent experience or training.
  • Staff and project management knowledge to post graduate diploma level equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience.
