New Individual Placement Support Mental Health Career Animation – Employment Specialist Role
Health Education England (HEE) have launched a new Individual Placement Support (IPS) career resource, hosted on the e-learning for healthcare website, to raise awareness of the IPS employment specialist role.
These animations form part of the work to raise awareness of the employment specialist role as a values driven role for people who wish to help those with mental health problems gain employment and support them along their recovery.
The animation is available for all IPS services to use as part of their recruitment and attraction messaging and provides an overview of the role to prospective IPS. The animation brings the employment specialist role to life highlighting its multi-faceted nature, the variety of people you’ll be working with and the rewards of commencing a career in IPS.
Thank you to all those involved in the development and creation of this animation. In addition to HEE, ELfH, NHSE/I and the workforce development working group members, a special thank you goes to Hannah Smee (GMMH), Ayeesha Cruickshank (SLAM NHS Trust), Serena Jones (Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust), Rebecca Pavey (Merseycare), Lynne Pritchard (Merseycare), Laura Baines (Blackpool Council), Richard Barnes (Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust) and Grace Field (Blackpool Council) for helping develop this animation and authentically capture the role.
Find out more about a career in IPS and access to these animations via the e-learning for healthcare webpage.
